Location & Surrounding Region

Located just north of Exit 11 off Highway 103, Cornwall has for many years been an important farming and forestry area. Dragonfly is located on Little Mushamush Lake, which is one of the province's most beautiful lakes for swimming, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. The townships of Mahone Bay and Lunenburg are minutes away. Bridgewater is but a twenty minute drive south on Highway 103.

There are many festivals and events year around on the South Shore, including Chester Race Week, the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, the Mahone Bay Classic Boat Festival, and concerts by Symphony Nova Scotia. Beautiful beaches are perfect picnic spots on sunny summer days or beautiful autumn evenings. Hirtle's Beach, Risser's Beach and Sand Dollar Beach are a few of the special neighborhood spots. And don't forget the spectacular Indian Falls, just a leisurely twenty minute drive inland, through rolling hills and beautiful forests and farmlands.
